Company History
Formed in 1990, Trade Effluent Services Ltd was originally founded as a company to run effluent treatment plants for local dairies and carry out river sampling on behalf of DJOL and the Environment Agency.
In 1995 the decision was made to buy an umbilical cord system and the company began recycling farm slurries to land. During 1996 the decision was made to diversify into waste recycling and the company began recycling liquid wastes to agricultural land under an exemption in the waste management regulations. Over the following years the company continued to expand and develop and began recycling biosolids to land for United Utilities and Welsh Water (Dwr Cymru) in 1998.
In 2006 the company had grown to over 20 employees and we were recycling over 4000 tonnes per week to agricultural land, the company had also diversified into waste management and industrial cleaning.
In November 2007, Trade Effluent Services acquired the northern division of Arrow Environmental Services Ltd increasing our fleet to 12 articulated lorries with a range of trailers including 5000 & 6000 gallon tankers, glass lined acid barrels and curtain sided trailers. The company also acquired a full time jetting crew and high pressure water jetting equipment. The acquisition will allow Trade Effluent Services Ltd to continue to provide our customers with cost effective, environmentally responsible waste management services as well as increasing our ability to offer new and existing customers a one stop shop for waste management.
