Biosolids Recycling
Recycling biosolids to land is generally considered to be the best practical environmental option and is a practice supported by the government. Trade Effluent Services have been recycling biosolids to land for over 10 years on behalf of Welsh Water (Dwr Cymru) and United Utilities. Our fleet of specially selected agricultural tractors and trailers allow us to offer our customer’s flexible cost effective solutions as well as enabling us year round access to sites where access via lorries would be impossible.
Our local land bank incorporates over 5000 hectares of arable and grassland and is managed and developed by our team of in-house field managers who have over 40 years experience within the industry.
Our diverse fleet including articulated lorries, agricultural tractors, with a variety of trailers, skips and spreaders allows us to offer services for both liquid sludges and sludge cakes and enables us to access land throughout the year. We can also offer treatment facilities for non-compliant sludge/biosolids, using our Mobile Centrifuge unit and Mobile sludge liming plants. The company is also working with In-Vessel Composting Ltd to develop an In-Vessel treatment facility for biosolids.
