NVZ Risk Maps

From the 1st April 2021, all of Wales is designated as a nitrate vulnerable zone (NVZ). The recently introduced Water Resources (Control of Agricultural Pollution )(Wales)Regulations 2021 aims to reduce nitrogen losses from agriculture and places additional requirements on farmers, typical agricultural operations and record keeping.

If you are spreading manures, composts, organics manures, biosolids (sewage sludge) or other materials onto your land, you must produce a Risk Map which identifies areas of land which are at higher risk of pollution and where manures cannot be spread.

At Trade Effluent Services our FACTS qualified advisors have more than 20 years experience working with the agricultural community and producing risk maps for landspreading. Our team of advisors are on hand to provide you with High quality Manure Risk maps to meet the requirements of the new legislation.
